Funding notification to the Einbeck brewery
The Einbecker Brauhaus has decided to operate its own biogas plant from 2023 due to its high volumes of wastewater. With the help of this, the brewery can save approx. 913 tons of CO 2 every year. For the implementation of the project, the Einbecker brewery decided in favor of FlexBio Technologie GmbH as a competent and regional partner. Thanks to the innovative FlexBio technology, biogas is obtained through anaerobic wastewater treatment, which can be used as an energy source for the company. The conversion into electrical and thermal energy in the brewery’s block-type thermal power station is C0 2 -neutral. As a result, fossil fuels are conserved and the environment is relieved. A total of 1.5 million euros must be invested in the project in order to be able to implement the valuable contribution to energy saving and climate protection.
The state of Lower Saxony supports companies with sustainable projects that they would otherwise not be able to carry out due to the economic consequences of the pandemic with the funding program “Increasing operational resource and energy efficiency 2.0”.
On July 6, 2021, Frank Doods, State Secretary in the Lower Saxony Ministry for the Environment, Energy, Building and Climate Protection presented the brewery board member Martin Deutsch with a funding decision for € 559,000.
We look forward to future cooperation!
